Promoting Understanding and Acceptance of Polyfidelity
Secular Polygamy.com is dedicated to the unexceptional notion that freedom should include the freedom
of individuals to form the committed family structure that seems best to them, free from social, religious and
legal persecution. This dedication stems from a conviction that the limited notion of a relationship which can
only involve two individuals of opposite sexes is a product of religious and social constraints, rather than
natural ones.
Specifically, Secular Polygamy.com promotes understanding and acceptance of Polyfidelity, a plural union
where all partners are equally committed to all other partners, whether considering themselves married or
not. The union is based upon love, in concert with mutual respect, and is free from the perversion of a
religious mandate. The partners can be all male, all female, or a combination of male and female.
While there are many groups out there dedicated to plural or non-monogamous relationships, including
group sex and open relationships, this site is specifically oriented for those living in or seeking a committed
poly-amorous relationship, where all partners commit to being faithful within the group and live together as
a family. To be clear, this is not a Swingers club. Secular Polygamy.com is firmly dedicated to circles of
intimacy, of which sex is merely an important component.
We find it surprising that Polyfidelity is less socially acceptable than the rampant promiscuity a large segment
of the population engages in, or the serial monogamy which is almost universally practiced in our society.
More surprising is the fact that, on some level, even infidelity is more socially acceptable. The seeming
contradiction is that American culture is simultaneously afraid of sexuality and hyper-sexual, with the
hyper-sexuality being predominantly due to fear based deprivation and repression.
